Over the Counter

Over the last few years we have been aware that many of you are concerned about the number of 'Practitioner Only' products appearing on the shelves of retail outlets - primarily health stores and pharmacies.

In line with our policy of totally supporting you- the practitioner, we give you a commitment that:

  1. BioMedica Nutraceuticals, Homoeoceuticals and Phytocare are all Practitioner Only products.
  2. Our distributors have been instructed that these products can only be sold to bona-fide practitioners in a clinic.
  3. Retail stores that employ a Naturopath or other practitioner do not qualify to sell these products.
  4. Pharmacies that hold these products for practitioner prescription must keep them behind the counter and out of public reach (and view where possible).
  5. Health stores that run a bona-fide clinic within the store must sign a statutory declaration to confirm the following:
    • The store clinic is completely enclosed and adequately sound-proofed.
    • The practitioners qualifications are recognised by the appropriate statutory bodies.
    • The practitioner only prescribes the products in the context of a proper consultation with a fully written case history.
    • The products must be kept in the clinic room and are not permitted to be sold without the clinicians knowledge and approval.

This policy has been agreed to and approved by all of the individual companies Directors.
